My Ikky has died twice (2 separate tries) after hitting w/ Black Claw. This doesn't seem to work reliably

There's an effect that goes off for 1109 (Strong) at that point. Ikky dies to it. Foulfeather barely survives, but dies to the hit the next round before attacking.

EDIT:
Can probably be corrected by using a unit that dies in a single turn to take that hit. (edited)

Please make sure you follow the steps precisely! Not using the Unborn's Shadow Slash first will result in skewed results and/or a loss!

I've added a script to the strat.

Also, for future reference, a Swap to [pet] is different than Bring in your [pet]. A swap is for when your pet is still active, whereas the bring in your pet line is for when your active pet has died, or in this case, is temporarily dead. The other difference is, a Swap counts as a turn, whereas bringing in your next pet does not.
