Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

If you're like me and don't have all the pets for DragonAfterDark's great strat, here's an alternative.

-There is some RNG to this fight becuase of the enemies. YMMV
-Any rabbit with speed> 250 should work for the first two.

My bunnies finished the fight but just for good measure I have a healing Critter in the third slot in case it needs to come in to face the last pet.

Update: Maslina suggested a fat critter for the third slot to soak the backline damage so if this particular setup doesn't work for you try swapping out the third pet.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

worked second try, I put Scooter the Snail in 3 slot

I used Dust Bunny S/S and Noblegarden Bunny S/S and the noblegarden bunny survived, didn't even need a third pet.

In my opinion any fat critter will do for the last slot. My first try failed because the third pet died too soon.

After getting frustratingly bad RNG on round after round of this strat, I tried using 3 Frostfur Rats (1,2.2), and used this priority:

1. Refuge
2. Call Darkness
3. Sneak Attack.

Repeat in that order, and use them whenever they come off cooldown. The Refuge shielded my alt pets enough times that my final rate survived long enough to outlast the chicken. Voila! Hope this works for you guys.

Nice Auburn!
You should write it up as a separate strat so folks can find it easier =)

3 fast bunnies worked 2nd try

abyrvalg wrote on 2019-02-01 07:41:40

That worked great, thank you! Used substitutes that I have @lvl25 - Elfin rabbit S/S and Arctic hare S/S, even failed some burrows:)

Strat worked flawlessly! On the list of pets to use, I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but the second rabbit is 2 * 1 for moves. That makes it seem like it doesn't need dodge and it suggests some critters that won't work because of it. Otherwise great strat.

Thanks Zeitlos! I'll update that wildcard to avoid confusion/bad advice.

Thank you for this strategy! Used Rabbit H/B, Snowshoe Hare H/B, and Mountain Cottontail H/S. The backline dmg ate my poor Mountain Cottontail, didn't stand a chance (sad face). Snowshoe Hare was able to hit "Rapaired" Portable Fire Starter hard enough and survive. Whichever pet you choose to go against this blasted thing needs to hit hard and first. My Rabbit held his own on "Upgraded" Nightmare Weaver. I'm very proud of my bunnies, they deserve extra carrots tonight.

worked wonderfully... just used both the rabbits.. 3rd pet just ate the backline dmg... TY

Devious05 wrote on 2018-12-24 05:01:14

I didn't think this would work but it did, finished the fight with my 2 bunnies but it was incredibly close. My 3rd pet was dead due to the AOE by time I won by 1 hit.

ability(360) [ self.aura(311).exists ]
ability(159)

My healer had to become active, so the script does a heal and cocoon if it has too.
