The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

It does work in SL pre-patch but your third pet really should have headbutt to make sure Gnasher dies. I used a Wolpertinger.

Altariel wrote on 2018-07-15 16:27:10

Also works with a Tolai Hare Pup in the first slot.

Izzy wrote on 2018-05-27 06:17:35

Used a Speed Grizzly squirrel and a Rescued Fawn, didn't need a third pet :)

Leviticusmax wrote on 2017-09-06 00:03:09

I found that if you use Woodchipper first and Adrenaline Rush second, your stampede gets an extra hit and the third pet is not necessary.

Khes

wrote on 2018-04-06 07:36:06

agreed, the adrenaline rush screws up the double dmg debuff from stampede more often than not.

You can get xp for a level 22 pet here. I used Black Sheep, Giant Sewer Rat and a 22 Stormwind Rat.

Chew then Stampede with sheep then pass. Sewer rat use poison fang then stampede, finish retch off with scratch from rat or if you use another pet pick one that has a 230+ hit

Alpine Chipmunk S/B (NutBarrage/AdrenalineRush/Woodchipper), Auburn Ringtail S/S (PoisonFang/Bite/Survival), and Grassland Hopper S/B (Screech) worked well for me. They managed to be speedier than Retch (either naturally or with spells). I'm sure that helped.

Giant Sewer Rat (1,2,1): Poison Fang, then Stampede.
Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderm (1,1,1): Headbutt, then Smash.

Had Perky Pug (1,1,1) as third but didn't need it.

Same! Didn't even have to pull out the third pet.,

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-13 12:47:37

I used two mice and a bunny. highland mouse lvl 21, prairie mouse and a dust bunny; poison fang, stampede, poison fang, stampede, dodge, stampede

Geki wrote on 2017-09-12 23:35:43

If you have them, S/S Grizzly Squirrel and S/S Gleamhoof Fawn have more power than the pets mentioned while still being faster. Grizzly can do two woodchippers before going into stampede for some more damage. Enemy died from the woodchipper tick after Fawn's headbutt, game over.

Lucky Quillen Cub works well for 3rd pet w/ 1/1/1

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-02 14:08:51

Can be done with a team of 3 rabbits(2,2,2), at least 2 of them need to outspeed with more than 319. Dodge-stampede-flurry repeat.

Boraxius wrote on 2017-08-31 06:51:27

Dust Bunny is good in first slot if you haven't lvl'd up a squirrel like me.

Jangeoffry wrote on 2017-08-29 22:10:04

Don't know if Darkmoon Hatchling is an "easy" pet, but I find it very interesting. Using Flock + Trample (it will hit twice most of time in this encounter) will bring Retch below 50%. Then a critter in the second slot with a slowing move for the first turn and a weakening move for 2-3 turns plus a third critter with 1-3 hit move would finish the fight (most of critters match these requirements).
